Eczema: The Body’s Call for Purity and Release

Eczema is not an external skin problem but an internal cleansing effort — the body’s way of eliminating waste through the skin when other eliminative organs, such as the liver, kidneys, and bowels, are congested. The redness, itching, and oozing are signs of the body pushing impurities outward to protect deeper tissues from toxic accumulation. Rather than a disease to suppress, eczema is a healing action attempting to restore purity within.

From a Natural Hygiene viewpoint, eczema arises when the bloodstream becomes loaded with metabolic waste, mucus, and acids that the primary eliminative systems cannot fully remove. The skin, being the body’s largest secondary organ of elimination, steps in as a relief valve. The eruption, though uncomfortable, is a safety mechanism — an overflow response to inner toxicity.

Topical creams, antibiotics, and steroid treatments suppress these symptoms, forcing the waste back into the bloodstream. Though the skin may temporarily appear clear, the toxins remain inside, burdening the body even further. This suppression often leads to deeper chronic issues such as asthma, arthritis, or fatigue, as the toxic load continues to circulate.

True healing begins by cleansing from within. Fasting or a short fruit cleanse gives the body the energy and clarity to eliminate waste through its natural channels. A diet rich in water-filled fruits and leafy greens purifies the blood and restores vitality to the liver and kidneys. When these organs are functioning efficiently, the skin no longer needs to act as an emergency outlet.

Equally important is emotional purification. The skin is closely tied to feelings of protection, sensitivity, and self-expression. When anger, irritation, or emotional suppression are present, they may manifest as physical inflammation. Relaxation, sunlight, and gentle exposure to air and water support both emotional and physical release.

Eczema teaches us to purify rather than cover up. By returning to natural foods, fresh air, rest, and emotional honesty, the body completes its cleansing process gracefully. The skin then regains its natural softness and glow, reflecting inner harmony once more.
