Hypertension: The Body’s Call for Calm and Circulatory Freedom
Hypertension, or persistently high blood pressure, is the body’s way of signalling that internal flow has been restricted and that the vital force is working harder than it should to maintain circulation. It is not a random malfunction but a direct message from the body that the bloodstream has become thickened, the vessels tense, and the nervous system overstimulated. In essence, hypertension reflects pressure — physical, emotional, and environmental — seeking release.
From a Natural Hygiene perspective, hypertension arises from the same underlying cause as most chronic disorders: toxemia — the accumulation of waste in the blood and tissues. When the blood becomes polluted through overeating, poor food combinations, cooked fats, refined carbohydrates, alcohol, and stimulants, its flow slows down. The heart, striving to keep the body nourished, increases its force to push the thickened blood through the vessels. What is labelled “high blood pressure” is, therefore, a compensatory effort — a sign of the body’s determination to maintain life in spite of obstruction.
This pressure is often mirrored emotionally. Stress, anxiety, anger, and unresolved tension contract the nervous system and blood vessels, further increasing resistance. The modern pace of life — fast meals, constant stimulation, and relentless activity — keeps the heart and mind on alert. Over time, this continuous strain erodes the body’s vitality and leaves it unable to rest deeply.
Healing begins with removal of the cause. Fasting or fruit cleansing lightens the blood and allows the arteries to relax. Fresh fruits, raw vegetables, and greens help dissolve mucus and fatty residues, thinning the blood naturally. Salt, stimulants, and all processed foods must be eliminated, as they excite the nervous system and retain fluid. Pure water and juicy fruits help flush the bloodstream, easing the heart’s workload.
Rest is equally crucial. The heart thrives in stillness. Deep sleep, silence, and emotional release lower the body’s energy demand and allow circulation to find its natural rhythm. Gentle walking, sunlight, and slow breathing bring harmony to the pulse and balance to the nervous system.
Emotional relaxation completes the healing process. Forgiveness, patience, and the conscious release of control ease the internal pressure that the heart reflects physically. When life is simplified and the body is nourished by living foods and peace of mind, the need for forceful pressure disappears.
Hypertension is not an enemy — it is a messenger of imbalance. When we slow down, cleanse, and reconnect with the calm rhythm of nature, the blood flows freely again. The pulse becomes steady, the heart rests, and the body moves from pressure to peace.
